i was thinking about upgrading the firmware on my 3gs , i dont want to go all the way to 4.0.2, does anyone know how to upgrade to 4.0.1?

Apple doesn’t offer that option. And with good reason: 4.0.1 has a serious security flaw – now very well-known – that allows a web site to crack the operating system and install *whatever* on it. If you really need to jailbreak your phone (I’ve seen no point in doing so) there will be a solution available for 4.0.2 soon enough. Running jailbroken 4.0.1 – especially now that the crack for it is out of the bag – is just too risky.

I preordered a white 32gb iphone 4 from best buy today, and they said they didn’t know when they’ll have them… people around the internet are going as far as saying august… anyone hear anything?? what do you think?

I think their just easing the new iphone, imagine adding white iphone buyers to all the buyers today…. hopefully (i haven’t heard this from anyone nor read it, just guessing) once the dust settles for the black model apple will make the white available all of a sudden.
all the talk about shipping problems is totally bogus imo, i think apple is holding on to them to keep the hype up for a little while longer, it’s very smart marketing when u think about it.
